In this comedy-thriller, Sidney Buhl is a successful playwright currently struggling to overcome a dry spell resulting in a string of failures. He receives a script submitted by a young student from a seminar Sydney has been conducting at a nearby college. He immediately recognizes it as a potential Broadway hit. With his wife’s reluctant help, Sydney devises a plan to collaborate with the young playwright on this surefire hit, and thereby share in the prospective wealth. The suspense mounts steadily as the plot twists and turns with devilish cleverness, and all our players are caught in a “deathtrap” abundant with thrills and laughter.
